The silhouette has a distinct story of its own. Tinker Hatfield designed the Low IE, first released in 1996, as a fresh interpretation of the Air Jordan 11 rather than simply a lower-cut copy. He replaced the original's signature patent leather with a construction featuring mesh windows, giving the design a lighter feel suited to warmer days.

Here, the leather upper is complemented by mesh panels, while rows of stitching add texture to the grey surface. A darker elephant-print mudguard frames the low-cut shape, contrasting with the translucent green rubber underfoot. A foam midsole works with Nike Air cushioning to absorb impact as you walk.
