Air Jordan 15-23RE 'Black Muslin' revisits one of the most unconventional designs in the brand's basketball history. Tinker Hatfield designed the original Air Jordan XV, released in 1999, taking inspiration from the experimental X-15 aircraft. The 23RE edition retains its futuristic shape and distinctive woven panels but removes the original's exaggerated tongue extension. A more compact inner collar construction gives this version a cleaner profile, while the black upper contrasts with creamy Muslin sections to emphasise the shoe's layered design.

Woven upper panels meet leather overlays around the toe and sides, giving the lower section a smooth, structured finish. A soft textile inner bootie surrounds the ankle, with front and rear pull loops helping you ease the shoe on. Partially concealed lacing lets you adjust the fit without distracting from the woven texture. A sculpted sole and rubber outsole complete the substantial silhouette. Rather than simply reproducing an archival basketball shoe, this edition brings its unusual proportions into a contemporary design, with contrasting textures and a restrained colour palette doing the work.
